Tata Steel Ltd is a Jamshedpur-based company. Jamshedpur is a city located in Jharkhand state. Tata Steel Ltd was founded in the year 1901 by Jamsetji Tata.

Steel Authority of India Limited was founded in 1973. It is an Indian government-based company, headquartered in New Delhi, India. It is run and managed by the Ministry of Steel, GOI.
